Learn how to secure your account with Single-Sign On or Multi-Factor Authentication
SSO allows users to access Parspec using their existing company credentials, streamlining the login process and reducing password fatigue. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their identity through an additional step, such as a mobile app or email code. Together, these features enhance security and improve user convenience, helping our customers protect their data while simplifying access to our platform.
How to set up Single-Sign On
- Head into your Settings > My Profile > Security tabn
- Enable Single Sign-on and proceed through the Microsoft login process
- Once your SSO is set up, Change Password and MFA will be disabled. Password changes will need to be done within your Microsoft account.
How to set up Multi-Factor Authentication
- Head into your Settings > My Profile > Security tab
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication to start the set up process with a QR code. Note: if you want to enable MFA, you will need to have an Authenticator app on your mobile device.
- Once MFA is enabled, you'll have to enter the MFA code from the mobile app each time the you login to Parspec.
- If you are even unable to access this app, you'll have auto-generated recovery codes to use as last resorts when unable to successfully log in. Best Practice: Download or copy/paste these recovery codes and store at a secure place. Remember these codes are private and not to be shared with anyone.
- At any point, you can generate new recovery codes to download for future use when trying to access your account.
